The logo utilizes the elements to portray the commemoration
of 150 years of abundant blessings experienced as a church. The
design with its rich colors will elicit a celebrative
mood.
The cross represents Christ, the provider of new life. At the
same time it reminds us that the cross of Christ, which we are
called to carry, has got sorrows as well as joys as we journey
together in Christ.
The other design elements such as Lotus flower and fiery tongues
are adopted from the official CSI Logo to proclaim that we
belong to Church of South India. Lotus, a typical Indian flower,
is a temple flower. Mythologically it is supposed to be the seat
of the creator. The petals of the lotus and the cross are
knitted together with the fiery-tongues of the Holy Spirit. It
is an authentic Indian expression of people's communion with
God.
The human figure depicted in liturgical colors signifies two
important things, the diversity of congregation as well as the
Anglican tradition.
The motto, human figures (congregation) and name of the church
displayed in circular form speaks of eternity and gathering
together. It is also a symbol representing the universe.
The stars altogether represent the call for 12 month long
celebrations.
Sketch of the church placed outside the circle can be
interpreted in two ways
a) Out of this world / Meaning = exceptionally high quality;
wonderful; marvelous
b) On top of the world / Meaning = In a position of great
happiness or success
No matter how you interpret it,
CSI Christ Church is SUPERB in all ways as it celebrates its
150th Birthday!!
